Meet The Characters Of “My Little Pony”
I was so excited when I received the “My Little Pony – Friendship Is Magic: Spring Into Friendship” DVD. I couldn’t wait to put on a movie night with my granddaughter. We popped popcorn and put the DVD in. In case you need to be introduced to the gang, their names are Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Pinkie Pie (my favorite), Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy. There are a few other characters, but these are the main ones.
My granddaughter was immediately singing along and naming every single pony. The movie is so vibrant and it kept my granddaughter’s attention. That isn’t easy to do. The DVD comes with 5 episodes and a wonderful sing-along, and if your little one can read, the sing-along gives the words as the ponies are singing, which I thought was cool.
There is some major trouble when Twilight Sparkle gets two tickets to one of the biggest parties in town. How will she pick between all of her best friends without hurting anyone’s feelings? You will have to watch to see how everything turns out. In another episode, Spike makes some very bad choices and lands himself in some “hot water”. If you have little ones that like to learn great lessons through fun play, then you should definitely get yourself this DVD. The ponies teach good manners, great decision making, and many other important lessons. After watching the episodes with your child/children, you can have a question and answer sit down. I do this with my granddaughter so that I know she understood what they were trying to teach her. It also gives them a chance to feel like they are part of the discussion.
