Two Great Books For Lovers Of Orchids And Bigfoot
First of all, let's talk about Orchids. Those absolutely gorgeous flowers that only special growers can produce, or so we thought. At least, that's what I thought! I've always loved orchids, and truth be told, they're one of my favorite flowers. As a matter of fact, my wedding bouquet was filled with them. If you've ever wondered what it takes to have your own orchids, you'd like the book Orchids Handbook, by Michael Tibbs. It's a practical guide to caring for 40 orchid species. Yep, I said 40! Next, we have Bigfoot. I think we've all at least thought about this subject at one time or another. Well, this book isn't about whether it lives or not, this is all fun! The Bigfoot Fun Book, by D.L. Miller, is a cute book of puzzles, pages to color, stickers, and fun facts. Kids will love this as much as I did!
Attention Orchid Lovers!
The first thing you'll notice about this book is the stunning, vibrant pictures. There are so many different species you won't believe it! This is something I recently learned because I had no idea there were that many. The first part teaches you about the classification of orchids and even the structure of the plant. Of course, after that, it goes into caring for the plant. This book has every single thing you've ever wondered about these flowers! It goes in depth and has detailed information, talking about preventing disease and how to keep a controlled environment. Even if you don't want to learn about growing the plant, the pictures are worth getting the book! It would certainly be a conversation piece on any coffee table. Then again, if you know an orchid lover, this book is for them!
Puzzle Fun For Kids
This fun book is filled with mazes, word search, dot-to-dot, coloring, and a bunch of other exciting things to keep kids busy. There are even over 80 stickers for them to use. As I was looking through the book, I was even sucked into playing along. However, I only finished a couple of the puzzles, because my granddaughter wouldn't have forgiven me. It's definitely a fun-filled book that kids will love to do at home or on the go. It's a great book to take in the car!
