Protect Your Children From Sun and Bugs with Just One Product

Warm weather is here, and that means the bugs are out in full force. But we also need protection for the sun’s harmful rays.

Protect Your Children From Sun and Bugs with Just One Product

Getting kids to sit still long enough to apply sunblock or bug spray isn’t easy. We know they need both of these to stay safe, but sometimes that fight to apply both is so tiring. That’s where Avon Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus IR3535® comes in. This handy lotion is not only an insect repellent, but it’s also got SPF 30 sunscreen in it too. The proverbial two birds and one stone. (You can even get one that goes on blue, and then disappears. Fun for kids, and mom and dad know they’re well covered.)

The patented IR3535® provides repellency against a wide range of biting insects. These include mosquitoes, deer ticks, black flies, no-seeums, gnats, and biting midges. Basically all of those pesky bugs that seem out to ruin your outdoor fun.

Ticks, Mosquitoes, and Sun Can Be Dangerous

Ticks creep me out! First of all, they look like a nasty little spider. Secondly, they attach to you and bury their mouth into your skin. That’s just disgusting. Thirdly, they can carry Lyme Disease. A family friend had two children affected by Lyme Disease many, many years ago. Before anyone knew it what it was. Because of that, they weren’t treated properly and they ended up bed ridden, because the disease attacked their brains. Thankfully we know have tests and doctors know which medications to use. But it’s just easier to protect yourself from ticks in the first place.

Mosquitoes can carry the West Nile Virus, and lets face it, a mosquito bite is just plain annoying! And why do they love to bite you on a knuckle so it itches ten times worse??

The Sun

Then we have the sun. It feels great, and actually does help to make us happy by boosting Serotonin levels in our brains. However, it’s also harmful. My husband learned that the hard way two years ago. He had a spot on his face for years, and for years I nagged him to get it checked. When he finally did, they quickly biopsied it and found Basal Cell Carcinoma.

It took them three surgeries to remove it all and declare him cancer free. He was lucky. However, he was left with a pretty sizable scar on his cheek. Though a scar is much better than having to undergo more in-depth cancer treatments, so we call it a win.

Where to buy

For all these reasons, we need to protect our families. That’s why we use Avon’s Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard IR3535®, and we think you should too. You can get them from Avon, or through your Avon Rep. Be sure to follow Avon through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
