Holiday Children’s Books with the Reason for the Season

WorthyKids has some pretty fantastic holiday children’s book. If you agree that Jesus and his love are the reason for the season, then these are perfect for you.

Holiday Children’s Books with the Reason for the Season

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. I love getting together and celebrating with my loved ones. I also love talking to Liam about the birth of Christ. (As a matter of fact, one of our favorite Christmas specials, and the one we watch every Christmas Eve is Nestor the Long Eared Christmas Donkey. The story, and religious meaning behind it is wonderful.) If these are some of your favorite things, and you love passing them down to your children, then check out these books.

Holiday1

Star Bright Christmas Night

Follow these adorable farm animals and angels as they spread the message of Christ’s birth. The sing song rhyme, and cute illustrations are sure to please the little ones in your family. It’s a board book so it’s sturdy and will hold up to lots of love, all year round.

VeggieTales We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Another great board book for younger ones. Join the Veggie’s as the deck out their tree. However something is missing. As they add the star to the top, the Veggies are reminded of that special night in Bethlehem. When little ones push the button, the Veggies will sing, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

holiday 2

The Stable Cat’s Christmas

This title caught my eye right away because my son adores cats. Also, the main character is an orange cat like his beloved Eddie in Heaven. When we read it, we loved it even more. You see all of the stable animals are telling the cat of the gifts they gave the Christ Child. But the little kitten is sad because it has nothing to give. Then the baby shivers, and the kitty realizes that the best gift she can give is the gift of herself, as she keeps baby Jesus warm.

holiday 3

Maverick and Me

While not a Christmas story, this book is still amazing. It’s the true story of the author’s own rescue dog. Not only will it warm readers hearts, but it will help encourage others to adopt not shop.
