Who doesn’t wish to have Pinterest-perfect parties? Meals? Outfits? I browse Pinterest quite a bit. Of all the social media platforms, I find that one to be the most inspiring.

Lately, I’ve been seeing all sorts of popcorn mixes and desserts! I always thought how fun and colorful they were. I’ve been tempted to make some mixes myself, but have only ever come across time-consuming and over-complicated recipes.

Finally, I thought to myself: “Why not create my own?” I wanted to serve popcorn as a dessert and was trying my best to think of a recipe with minimal ingredients but a large impact. This is how I came up with Sweet Celebration Popcorn.

I love the bursts of color this dessert has to offer. It’s so versatile that I can serve it on Easter, at kids’ birthday parties or even as a quick treat for New Year’s celebrations! What do you think?

Sweet Celebration Popcorn

1 bag microwave popcorn

1 cup ready-made vanilla frosting

Colorful sprinkles

Prepare popcorn according to bag’s directions. Once popped and completed, place in an extra large mixing bowl.

In a glass or ceramic bowl, microwave frosting for 20 seconds. Mix well until you reach a runny consistency. Pour over popcorn.

Mix popcorn and frosting until popcorn is evenly coated. Mix while pouring in some sprinkles.

Separate into small bags or balls for serving. Top each serving with more sprinkles to have the color come out! Enjoy!
