This method of making pull-apart cupcakes is extremely easy.

The frosting that covers the cupcakes is all frosted simultaneously, so the wreath looks like a whole wreath.

Then to eat, you simply pull the cupcake you want away from the rest!

Cupcakes are baked and then formed into the shape of a wreath and frosted together to look like a beautiful Christmas wreath for a delicious snack or dessert the whole family will enjoy!

This festive Wreath Pull-Apart Cupcake recipe uses everyday kitchen staples to create a delicious holiday dessert or snack your family will love.

ll you need is:

  • white cake mix 
  • a few eggs 
  • vegetable oil 
  • vanilla extract
  • some green food coloring 
  • unsalted butter 
  • powdered sugar 
  • coffee creamer or heavy cream
  • Christmas sprinkles
  • Twizzlers

Line a 24-count cupcake tin with liners.

Next, make the cupcakes according to the package directions.

Add some green food coloring to the batter to make the batter bright green.

Evenly distribute the batter between 24 cupcake liners.

Bake the cupcakes at 350 for 15-18 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.

Place the cupcakes on a cooling rack.

Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.

While the cupcakes are cooling, make the frosting.

Using a stand mixer, add the butter to the bowl and mix until smooth.

Add powdered sugar a cup at a time and mix until well incorporated.

Add a little drizzle of coffee creamer or heavy cream to loosen up the mixture slightly.

We do not want a runny frosting, it needs to be stiff but smooth.

After all the powdered sugar is added, add in a few drops of green food coloring.

Mix the frosting on high for 4-5 mins until fluffy.

Add the frosting to a piping bag with tip 1M and set aside.

Arrange the cupcakes in a circle on the serving tray you intend to serve them on.

The outer circle will have 15 cupcakes and the inner circle will have 9 cupcakes.

Frost the cupcakes in a criss-cross fashion and be mindful to not squeeze too hard on the piping bag because you will run out of frosting.

If you have to make more frosting your greens will not match up because the first batch of frosting will have dried.

Make Xs out of frosting across the cupcakes. Immediately sprinkle some Christmas sprinkles all over the green frosting.

Form a bow using one Twizzlers candy and place it on the cupcake wreath.

Fill in any gaps with frosting.

If your cupcakes move add a small amount of frosting to the bottom to hold them in place.
