These Patriotic Oreo Pops are extremely easy to make. Even your children can help make them.

All you really need is a lot of chocolate and Double Stuffed Oreos! Kids will love dipping the cookies into the melted chocolate.

This recipe can be adapted to use anytime of the year. Simply change the color of the candy melts to the holiday and the type of sprinkles.

Red, green, and white would look great for Christmas. Purple and yellow would work for Easter.

Double stuffed Oreo cookies are attached to straws and dipped into patriotic-colored melted chocolate and decorated with sprinkles for a delicious snack the whole family will enjoy!

This fun and easy Red, White, and Blue Oreo Pop recipe uses everyday kitchen staples to create a tasty snack your family will love.

All you need is:

  • some double stuffed Oreos 
  • red candy melts 
  • white candy melts 
  • blue candy melts 
  • patriotic sprinkles

Red, White and Blue Oreo Pops

Begin by melting the white candy melts according to package instructions.

Dip the tip of the straw into the white candy melts then immediately into the creme filling of the Oreo.

Smooth out the chocolate around the stick with your finger.

Place the Oreos on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set for a minimum of 5 mins.

Melt the red and blue candy melts according to package instructions.

Dip the Oreos into the colored melted chocolates.

Dip some in white chocolate, some in red, and some in blue for assorted patriotic colors.

Gently shake off any excess chocolate and scrape the excess chocolate off the backside of the Oreo pop against the side of the bowl.

Place the Oreo pops onto the parchment-lined baking sheets.

Top with sprinkles immediately. Allow setting for 20-30 mins.

HOW LONG DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO MAKE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE OREO POPS?

This Red, White, and Blue Oreo Pops recipe takes approximately 42 minutes. TOTAL. This includes:

  • About 5 minutes to melt the white candy melts and place the Oreos on the straws 
  • Close to 15 minutes to melt the other colors and dip the cookies into the chocolate
  • Around 2 minutes decorate with sprinkles
  • 20 minutes to for the Oreos to set

HOW DO I STORE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE OREO POPS?

You can store Red, White, and Blue Oreo Pops in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 5 days or in your freezer for up to 3 months.

Simply unthaw at room temperature.

You can find patriotic themed sprinkles at major grocery stores, Etsy, or Amazon.

You can purchase a jar of patriotic sprinkles on Amazon for between $9-12.

You can use any cookie you want for this recipe but I suggest using a sandwich cookie so you can insert the straw into the icing between the cookies.

If you use a regular cookie you might need to use a popsicle stick dipped in chocolate to attach to the cookie instead of a straw.

Yes, you can easily make Red, White, and Blue Oreo Pops ahead of time.

Simply keep them stored in an airtight container in your refrigerator until ready to serve.

This is a great snack to make ahead for a party.

Ingredients

  • 12 Double stuffed Oreos
  • 1 cup Red candy melts
  • 1 cup White candy melts
  • 1 cup Blue candy melts
  • Patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

Notes

If it is raining or you are in a moisture filled area the cookies will take longer to set.

Avoid putting them in the fridge to set. Instead place them in front of a fan to help cool them faster.

If the chocolate is too thick to dip add 1 tsp of coconut, olive or vegetable oil and stir until smooth.
