Move Over Elf, The Christmas Star is Here

Move over Elf, the Christmas Star is here. Now, I love Elf on the Shelf, as does my son. However, if you’re looking for something to reinforce the true meaning of Christmas in your children, then The Christmas Star From Afar is for you.

Move Over Elf, The Christmas Star is Here

I’m in love with this new holiday game. The Christmas Star from Afar is sure to become a classic. Instead of the elf hiding each day, in this game, the Christmas Star is hidden. Each day, when your kids find the Star, they move the three wisemen to that location. It changes daily, until Christmas when the star is found at the nativity scene.

You could even get your elf in on the fun. He or she can help by hiding the Christmas star, and in turn help your children learn about the true meaning of Christmas. I think our elves TinselTrudyJohn and Killian will have fun hiding the Christmas star this year.

Turn it into Advent fun!

You can even use The Star from Afar as an Advent calendar. To do this, grab some sweet treats. Each night when you or the elves hide the star, have some sweets placed with it. That way when your littles find it, they get a little treat too! That’s how I will be using it this year. How about YOU?

Beautiful wooden set

The Christmas Star From Afar comes with a gorgeous wooden Christmas Star, as well as a manger and nativity set. It actually includes sixteen pieces in all. The set also comes with a full color book. There is scripture inside that you can use throughout the entire month of December.

The nativity set is perfect for little hands too. I love that because I have a few sets, and since they are glass and ceramic, I’m always shooing my son away from them. I love that he can actually have his own set, that’s kid friendly, and just for him. He has always been infatuated with the Three Wise Men, so he was super stoked when he unboxed his Star From Afar.
