Help Build the Makers of Tomorrow with Creation Crate

Subscription boxes are fantastic holiday gift ideas. They’re gifts that keep giving, even after the holidays are over. However, not all boxes are created equal. If you want to help build the makers of our future, then Creation Crate is the perfect gift.

Help Build the Makers of Tomorrow

Creation Crate is a technology based subscription box. What makes them stand out is that their boxes include raw electronic components. This gives creators real world skills. What’s even better is that with each box, the project inside gets a bit more difficult. This way, the recipient can enhance their skills, and challenge their brains at the same time.

This company is awesome! Teachers create the curriculum behind each month’s Creation Crate. Each month the recipients of Creation Crate get one arduino project, which will expand on their programming capabilities. For each one completed they’ll get a badge. After they have collected all twelve badges, they will more hands on experience than NINETY-NINE percent of college level computer science students. That’s amazing!

When Play or Creativity Becomes Learning

I love when play or creative projects disguise learning. If I tell my son to come out so we can learn something, he whines. However, if I invite him out of his room to play or make something, he’s all over it. I giggle to myself because I know he’s learning valuable skills, while he thinks he just has a “cool and fun” mom.

So whether you have a child that embraces learning, or one like mine that thinks it’s work, Creation Crate is perfect for them. Not only do they get to build something with their hands, they will learn how it works.

Month One

So let’s talk about the first month’s box from Creation Crate. Project one is to create a Mood Lamp. You will build a lamp that changes colors, and turns on only when it’s dark. I was especially stoked for this box because the Mood Lamp will go perfectly in Liam’s sensory area of his room. Your kids will love it!
