Disney Princess fun with Merida and Snow White

If your daughter is anything like mine, she loves dolls! The more the better is her motto. In case you didn’t know, Hasbro now makes the Disney Princess dolls and they definitely look different than in the past, but in a good way. I feel like they really resemble the way they look on-screen. My daughter who is 7 (going on 17..lol) noticed the difference as well and she loves the new look!

Disney Princess Merida yearns to break from tradition and chart her own course. She learns that being brave means standing up for what you think is right, and exercising wisdom and restraint. There’s no better role model that reminds us to be ‘Brave’ than Disney Princess Merida. Disney Princess Snow White is the epitome of what to look for in a best friend. She is caring, sweet and kind. She even befriends forest animals and the Seven Dwarfs.

Let’s explore these cool new dolls in the collection…

Both princesses are available in the Disney Princess Magical Story Skirt version and the Royal Shimmer Fashion Doll. Little girls will love the Disney Princess Magical Story Skirt dolls especially since water is involved! Each doll has an enchanting tale to tell on her magical skirt. All you do is take the water wand that comes with the doll, fill it up and then brush on the dress to see the scene magically appear on her skirt. Merida’s will reveal a courageous adventure while Snow White’s will reveal her and the Seven Dwarfs dancing. Once it dries add more water and brush the skirt again to retell the tale.

The Disney Princess Royal Shimmer Fashion Dolls are dressed in their signature outfits but with an ombré effect and embellished with glitter. These dolls are great for creative/role playing. Girls can act out their favorite story moments from Brave and Snow White or imagine her own fairy tale with the dolls. Disney Princess Merida, complete with her signature beautiful red curly hair and freckles, also comes with a removable belt and shoes. Disney Princess Snow White is a classic beauty with her timeless, jet-black chin-length bob and red ribbon in her hair. Her shoes and headband are also removable.

In addition to the bigger dolls mentioned above, Hasbro also introduced a line called Disney Princess Little Kingdom, which features smaller dolls that fit in a child’s hand. In addition to dolls, they also have playsets. The Little Kingdom dolls feature Snap-ins, which are small accessories that you snap-in to accessories your doll’s outfit and their stylish outfits are removable so kids can interchange them with other Little Kingdom Dolls. Disney Princess Little Kingdom Merida comes with three Snap-ins plus her bow and arrow. Her bear brother, who can snap treats onto his stomach, accompanies Merida. Disney Princess Little Kingdom Snow White is sweet and pretty in her classic blue bodice and yellow skirt. She comes with three Snap-ins as well including her famous red bow in her hair and two red apples.

I like this version of Snow White. It does not seem forced nor melancholic in tune with happened to her in the story. Disney is still doing and making great things after all.

When it comes to dolls, my daughters are almost the same like yours and I do love such cute dolls even at this age despite being a mom of two! I am in love with both these Disney Princess dolls and would get couple for my kids as well!
