Crafting + Board Games = BoxiTale For Kids!

Crafting + Board Games = BoxiTale For Kids!

Kids love coloring, painting, cutting, and all other kinds of crafting.  However, it gets boring after a little while.  Kids also enjoy games, but board games are not as popular as they used to be.  Someone that is a lot smarter than me put the two together and came up with BoxiTale.  That “someone” is Akibabus Ltd.  They recently launched this awesome game combination.  Kids are loving it!

So you start by downloading the app, then you stream the game through your phone.  It tells you everything you need to do, which means that kids can do this by themselves.  That is kind of a nice break for us parents.  The age range is 7 and up, so make sure you aren’t leaving a 4-year-old to play with it!  So back to streaming the game on the phone…after watching the awesome graphics, you solve the game by using the board and putting it all together.  It is so interesting.  I’ve never seen anything like this anywhere!

Another amazing thing about this game is that they can actually play it by themselves (single player).  Not many board games (if any) are single player.  However, if you want friends to play with you, that works too.  Imagine how much fun this would be for a family game night.  The game contents come in a beautiful briefcase-like box with gorgeous animations on it.  The game I received is called “Elite Explorers”, which is a space-based game.  There are other ones to choose from too.  There is “Nights of Nature” and “BoxiTale – Mini-Stories”.   Additional stories are available through in-app purchases.

The contents that you receive in your briefcase is literally everything you will need to play the game (obviously a phone is not included).  It even comes with a pair of scissors and string.  It looks a little intimidating at first glance, but your kids can do this.  They may be better at it than us!

Kids will truly enjoy being the hero of the story, while building, designing, and solving the challenges.  Will they be able to save the day?  I’m willing to bet that they will.  I hope you will give this awesome new combination a try, and I’m sure your kids will too.
