Whether you’re looking for books to get them ready to start school, or you’re working with them on their reading skills, I have some great titles that you and your kids are going to love.

I’m Smart

This picture book is wonderful for children, especially if they’re going to be riding a school bus for the first time. I’m Smart takes the reader through a bus trip of picking up children for school. My son loves the illustrations and the onomatopoeia’s. This book is an excellent way to get them ready for their first bus ride. You can get this title from Harper Collins by clicking HERE.

Twindergarten

Dax and Zoe are twins, about to start kindergarten. However, they won’t be in the same class. They’re very nervous, but soon learn that not only is kindergarten full of fun and exciting things, it’s also not so bad to be apart for a bit each day. Whether or not you have a twins, the message in this book is a bit universal. Many kids starting school have jitters about being away from home each day. Twindergarten can help relieve their nerves a bit, plus it’s a fun book to read! Get yours HERE.

Danny and the Dinosaur School Days

This was one of the very first books my son ever read all on his own. It’s a number one beginning reader book, and fantastic for new readers. When Danny’s dinosaur comes to visit at school, he fills the day with dino-sized learning and fun! Get it HERE.

Get Ready for Shark Week!

Shark Week starts this week, and what better way to kick it off than with a fun I Can Read book. Clark the Shark and the Big Book Report is adorable. Clark has to do his book report in front of the entire class. Will he get nervous and freeze up? My son loves this book! You can get yours here.
