A Great Way to Reward Good Behavior in Kids

A Great Way to Reward Good Behavior in Kids

When my kids were little, I started to notice that I said “no” quite often throughout the day.  What comes after “no”?  The temper tantrum!  By then, they are completely out of control, and you are angry.  That doesn’t help anyone.  Kudo Banz is a wonderful reward system that kids will absolutely love!  Instead of correcting bad behavior, you are rewarding good behavior.  Kids love having that “pat on the back” or “kudos” when doing something good.  Heck, we all do!

So the starter package that I received comes with 2 bands and 6 Kudo charms (and a carrying pouch, so you don’t lose them!).  This is enough to get someone with 2 kids at least started.  The idea is kind of like a sticker chart, but so much better.  It also comes with a beautifully illustrated book that the kids will also love.  What kind of system would it be without an app?  I love the app because it brings you along step by step!

A Great Way to Reward Good Behavior in Kids

The first step is reading the book to your little ones.  This will explain the reward system to them in a way that they will understand.  The bands have spaces for 3 charms.  After you give them their 3 charms, they get a magical surprise in the app.  You can choose to give them charms for specific chores or simply check in with them three times a day.  They will love using the app because they get to personalize it.  They can choose certain colors and even put their pictures on their account.  The exciting magical surprise is a wheel they get to spin.  The wheel will land on certain rewards (there are some already put into the app, or you can add your own).  The rewards can be anything you would like to add.

Kids will be so excited to receive the charms, they will be asking what they can do next!  This is by far the best reward system I have seen.  It certainly keeps children excited to show good behavior.  It is a win/win.  The kids will enjoy it and behave, and parents won’t need to yell or be negative.
