6 New Releases That Car Guys Are Buzzing About This Year

As the end of the year approaches, many people are focused on 2025 and what will happen in the new year. For individuals interested in the car industry, there are a lot of good things coming. The electric vehicle market is starting to explode. There are plenty of amazing gas-powered cars making their debut as well. So, here’s a look at new releases that car guys like me are buzzing about as the year comes to a close.

6. Land Rover Range Rover EV

The Land Rover Range Rover EV is a highly-anticipated car for 2025. While the prices are steep (starting at $120,000), the luxury electric SUV is here to change the EV market completely. It looks just like its gas-powered siblings, but it is powered by multiple electric motors. The company has said that the electric version of the luxury SUV will match the gas-powered variants. It is expected to go on sale sometime in 2025. You can join a waiting list for pre-ordering. As of early 2024, the list already surpassed 16,000, so it’ll be in high demand.

5. Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan

Mercedes is coming out with a 2025 EQS Sedan that has many car enthusiasts buzzing. Starting at $105,550, this car takes the beloved S-Class range of cars and equips them with an all-electric motor. Views on this car have been polarizing in the car world, however. Car and Driver pointed out that while the EQS Sedan still delivers on luxury, it doesn’t necessarily give you the driving experience you’d want out of a Mercedes. That said, it is still a vehicle many people in car communities are interested in seeing next year.

4. Volvo EX30

Surprised to see another electric car on the list? Well, EVs are taking over in the car world. The Volvo EX30 is much more affordable than the previously two mentioned cars, with starting prices at $36,245. While early reviews say that it is “perky” and good to drive, there are some downfalls. To get a competitive range, you’ll have to buy the twin motor powertrain upgrade, which isn’t cheap. The gauge display also reportedly leaves something to be desired. Putting those grievances aside, there are still many intriguing things about the EX30. It looks like something out of the future and still has all the things people love about Volvo (dependability and safety). You’re sure to see more of these on the road in 2025 and beyond.

3. Chevrolet Corvette C8 ZR1

Chevrolet produced an absolute monster of a car in the Corvette C8 ZR1. Prices for this car start at $180,000, but you’ll get a lot of power behind the vehicle. It is expected to produce 1,064 horsepower from its twin-turbo V8. That puts it well ahead of the previous generation of the ZR1, which only put out about 755 horsepower. It also outperforms the Dodge Challenger Demon SRT 170, which generates 1,025 horsepower. So, there’s no wonder why car lovers are keeping their eyes on this vehicle in 2025.

2. Bentley Continental GT Speed

With a starting price of $306,250, the Bentley Continental GT Speed is the most expensive car on our list so far. In the top-spec Speed trim, you’ll get 771 horsepower, which is substantial. There are also options for a plug-in hybrid version of the car. However, what most people purchase a Bentley for is comfort. You’d be able to comfortably sit in this car all day long. The extra cushioned seats are a great place to sit and the interior is covered in real wood and the finest leathers. It’s still GT (Grand Touring) car through and through. Many people can’t wait to get their hands on one next year.

1. Aston Martin Vanquish

Topping the list is the Aston Martin Vanquish. Prices for the Vanquish start at $434,000. It is a stunning car with a V12 engine under the hood to match its appearance. The 2025 Vanquish is said to produce 824 horsepower and has a top speed of 214 mph. Best of all, it is rear-wheel drive, making it a thrill for car enthusiasts to get behind the wheel. Given the price range of the Aston, it will be out of range for most car enthusiasts, but it is still something to behold.

In many ways, 2025 will be a transformative year for the automotive industry. It is clear that the electric vehicle sector is beginning to take off. Many carmakers are submitting new, innovative EVs that have many car lovers intrigued. At the same time, gas-powered engines aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. The creation of powerhouses like the Aston Martin Vanquish and the latest ZR1 are proof of that. However, as innovation in the industry continues, we are likely to see more powerful, more sustainable vehicles taking over the market.
