A trip to Las Vegas can be an experience of a lifetime. Great people, great atmosphere and great fun are all in abundance. However, there are ways in which you might need to prepare before hitting the strip. So, here are some tips on what you can do on your way to Vegas to make your trip that much more enjoyable:
Practice the games
If you’re a first time gambler without much knowledge of the games, don’t worry. You’re probably not the only one. But, it would be pretty wise to read about or practice some of the casino games before you start making bets. Losing isn’t fun, and losing without knowing why or how you have lost is probably worse. So, take a look at some tutorials and betting strategies. So, if you’ve got access to the internet, don’t waste a good opportunity to practice your gaming skills.
Plan Where You’re Going
Personalising your trip is a hugely important part, and whether you’re heading to Trump International Hotel Las Vegas to enjoy the glitz and glamour, or you’re heading to Caesar’s Palace for the movie feel, it’ is important to plan ahead. If you are thinking about living Trump style for a few days, then you can get a feel for the place with the help of the various Trump-themed games that have appeared since his election as President of the United States. One of the best games to experience Trump’s style and customisation is Ladbrokes’ Trump White House Game – where you get to personalise the White House in the style of Trump and his casino empire! Wherever you’re looking to go, you are certain to find a few different ways you can prepare your senses before the sights and sounds of Las Vegas hit you.
Prepare your outfit
Along the strip during the day time you’re going to see some whacky fashion, but one thing you’ll notice on most people is comfortable shoes. The Las Vegas strip is pretty long – over 4 miles long – and if you want to hit more than one casino you’re going to be doing a lot of walking. So, pick out your most comfortable shoes from your luggage. Even if you look dorky, your feet will thank you.
When it gets to night time and you want to visit some of the clubs and high class restaurants and bars you’ll find that they have a dress code. So, gents should pack a shirt and dress shoes while ladies should pack a smart dress or skirt with some comfy heels.
Research the restaurants
There are lots of great places to eat around Las Vegas, which is why you should research where the best places are before you arrive. That way you can plan the casinos you visit around the restaurants nearby. You definitely don’t want to be picking up some cheap street food when there’s an amazing restaurant a short walk away. You should also not leave Vegas without experiencing some of the crazy themed restaurants. You have a mob themed restaurant, a restaurant with belly dancers, and the world famous Heart Attack Grill.
Pick up some bottles of water
Las Vegas can get pretty hot during the day (it is in the desert, after all) and a mix of heat, alcohol and a lot of walking can leave you terribly dehydrated. So, carry around one or two bottles of water with you to sip on while you’re out having fun. At the hotels bottled water can get pretty expensive, so stop off at a grocery store on your way to the strip.
Prepare for the weather
To reiterate, it gets hot in Vegas. In summer it can get to up to 106 degrees and you won’t see a cloud in the sky. In fact, during one summer in Death Valley only a few years ago temperatures reached 130 degrees. So, don’t get out of a car without sunscreen on, or else you’ll burn to a crisp before you can make it to the casino. Sunglasses and a hat will also be useful if you plan to walk around outside during the day and don’t forget that you can get sunburned on your scalp just like anywhere else. Of course, the same can’t be said during the nights at certain times of the year when temperatures can get below freezing. Just plan ahead and keep your supplies close at hand in case the weather changes.
