Tips For Having Fashion Fun With Your Teenage Girls

There comes a point in the life of every teenager when they no longer think it’s fun to hang out with mum or dad.

If you have teenage girls that you feel are slipping away and you are not spending nearly enough time with anymore, maybe a day of fashion fun would do the trick!

After all, what teenage girl isn’t into all the latest trends?

While you are at it, you can also help them learn something about how the styles they wear can be construed as a direct reflection of who they are inside.

Help them to understand that what they wear matters because people really do judge a book by its cover.

With that said, let’s have some fashion fun!

Tips For Having Fashion Fun With Your Teenage Girls

Spend a Day Shopping

This is something every girl loves to do so plan a budget then head for the shops.

Your own girls will love a day of shopping but if you’ve become a foster mum to teenage girls in need of a home, just think of how special this day will be for them. It may have been years, or maybe never, since they’ve been out shopping.

That’s one of the things you’ll learn from meeting with foster care agencies Scotland is proud of.

They help to place minors with families that can give them the care those kids need, and this would be you! Take your foster girls out for a day they’ll never forget.

Have Fun with Hair Colours

This is something that is loads of fun but nothing too extreme.

With the rainbow of semi-permanent hair colours available, your teenage girls can do a lock or two in almost any brilliant colour imaginable.

While you wouldn’t want them to colour their entire head neon green or vibrant purple, a bit of colour on one side of their face would be something fun but not something that would last forever.

Attend a Jewellery Making Workshop

Here’s another exciting idea. Today’s trend in youthful jewellery is all about statement pieces.

Beads and bangles are all the rage so if you want to treat your girls to a bit of fun, enroll in a jewellery making workshop near you.

You could start with a bit of shopping, perhaps, so that they would have an outfit they’d like to accessorise.

It could just be that you have a budding artist on your hands who would love to go into crafting handmade jewelry.

Even so, it’s so much fun crafting a necklace or earrings they can proudly boast they designed. The idea is to plan activities that they would enjoy which will help you spend quality time together.

You will be in for loads of laughs and if you stop for a bite of lunch while you are out, let them pick the place! It is, after all, their day so let them do some of the things they never get to do.

You will find that even girls who would normally balk at spending time with mum will be begging to do this again sometime. Watch and see!
