SNOWMEN JAR INSTRUCTIONS
Start by heating up your glue gun and gluing 3 buttons on each jar.
Next, create the scarf by cutting the red ribbon and blue felt to go around the jar lids. Make sure to leave extra so the scarf can hang down.
Glue each piece onto the sides of the lids.
To make the hat, cut out 1 large circle to fit one of the lids, a rectangle to create the body of the hat, and a smaller circle for the top of the hat.
Glue the larger circle to the lid. Roll the rectangle into a cylinder and carefully glue together then glue to the large circle.
Lastly, glue the smaller circle on the top of the cylinder.
Glue some cotton on the hat to represent snow and a little button for decoration.
To make the earmuffs, take the other lid, glue a pipe cleaner to each side, then glue on the 2 white pom poms.
Fill jars with the chocolate covered pretzels, then twist on the lids.

SNOWMEN PRETZEL JAR TIPS AND QUESTIONS
If you’ve never made a Snowman Pretzel Jar, don’t worry! Below are some common questions and helpful tips.
Hopefully, this will answer any questions you may have. If not, feel free to ask in the comments and I’ll answer the best I can.
HOW LONG DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO MAKE SNOWMEN JARS?
This Snowmen Pretzel Jar takes approximately 25 minutes. TOTAL. This includes:
- About 3 minutes to heat up the glue gun
- Close to 4 minutes to glue the buttons on the jars
- Around 4 minutes to make and glue the scarves
- 10 minutes to create and glue the hat
- 3 minutes to create the earmuffs
- 1 minute to fill with pretzels
DO I HAVE TO FILL THE JARS WITH WHITE CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS?
Nope. You can fill the jars with any candy you want.
Hershey Kisses, peppermint candies, mini candy canes, or Jelly Beans would all make great alternatives.
DO I HAVE TO USE A MASON JAR TO CREATE THIS DIY SNOWMAN JAR?
No, you can use any beautiful container you want.
The container needs to have a lid that is easily removable so you can snack on the pretzels.
A glass or plastic container is up to you.
I feel a container that allows you to see the white chocolate covered pretzels inside would be best.
HOW FAR AHEAD CAN I MAKE THESE SNOWMEN PRETZEL JARS TO GIVE AS GIFTS?
The only concern about making the Snowmen Pretzel Jars too far in advance is the chocolate covered pretzels going stale.
When you purchase the pretzels check to see the best before date.
If you want to make this in advance, simply make the snowmen jars and then fill with the pretzels before gifting.
WHAT GOES WELL WITH SNOWMEN PRETZEL JARS?
Snowmen Pretzel Jars go well with a wide variety of crafts.
You could either gift these with the Snowmen Pretzel Jars or have fun making them the same day. Some of my personal favorites include:
- Santa’s Sleigh Pencil Sharpener Gift
- Pinecone Snowmen
- Candy Christmas Tree Treats
- Snowman Ding Dongs
- Strawberry Christmas Light Bulbs
WHAT ELSE CAN I ADD TO THIS SNOWMEN JAR CRAFT?
This simple Mason Jar craft not only looks great, but it’s also incredibly versatile.
Try adding a ribbon around the jar lid that is attached to a small card.
This would be a great way to say something special to the person you are gifting this to.
