What…No Pasta Required?

NEW Prego Cooking Sauces at Publix

For as long as I’ve been cooking I’ve only used Prego® for pasta dishes. So when I heard about the NEW Prego Cooking Sauces at Publix, I was curious about what they were all about so I picked up a few jars on my weekly Publix shopping trip.  I knew my readers would be excited to see what I came up with. Of course below is what I made along with more ideas.

Publix has these on sale for a BOGO on Prego Cooking Sauces until August 1, 2018

When it is summertime, who wants to cook anyway? I like recipes that can be done within 20-30 minutes and do not require a lot of prep or work. No, I’m not a lazy cook, just a cook who likes to spend more time with her family than in the kitchen.

Just Add Chicken

NEW Prego Cooking Sauces at Publix

So let’s go PASTA FREE for a night. I’m going to use Creamy Lemon Parmesan Prego Cooking Sauce for a chicken dish. All I need to do is brown the chicken, add the sauce and let simmer. Easy-peasy dinner in 20 minutes. The sauce has savory Italian flavors of cream, parmesan cheese, garlic and lemon. The sauce is packed with flavor.

Because all you need is some fresh chicken, 20 minutes, and Prego Cooking Sauce to create your family’s new favorite meal – pasta optional. Three varieties are available at Publix (Creamy Lemon Parmesan, Creamy Marsala, and Tomato & Fresh Ricotta).

I chose the Creamy Lemon Parmesan Sauce and my family LOVED it and already asking when I’m going to make again. But next time I want to try the Creamy Marsala, I will be using them all, and this will be a staple in my kitchen from now on. So you know I’m going to be stocking up when I go to Publix on my next shopping trip.

That dish looks amazing. Prego is a great brand and I’ve tried some of their sauces.

I found this sauce at Publix while trying to find a ready made lemon piccata with no success. I like your review with the pictures, My plan is to brown in some butter & olive oil boneless, skinless & rather thin cutlet style chicken breasts -seasoned with Mrs, Dash lemon pepper seasoning. I'm hoping that I will be sending an updated comment telling how much we enjoyed our dish served with garlic knots & oven roasted asparagus spears or possibly just angel hair.

I wanted to find a bottled lemon piccata sauce & found this instead. I am delighted to see your pics with a good review. I have some thin boneless chicken cutlets that I'm planning to use & season with a lemon -pepper seasoning by Mrs. Dash. I bookmarked this page & plan to comment in the future on how the dish turns out. I'm either going to serve with an oven roasted asparagus side & garlic knots or angel hair. Thanks for sharing
