FESTIVE CRANBERRY MARGARITA TIPS AND QUESTIONS

If you’ve never made a homemade margarita, don’t worry! Below are some common questions and helpful tips.

Hopefully, this will answer any questions you may have.

If not, feel free to ask in the comments and I’ll answer the best I can.

HOW LONG DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO MAKE A FESTIVE CRANBERRY MARGARITA?

This Festive Cranberry Margarita recipe takes approximately 5 minutes. TOTAL. This includes:

  • About 1 minute of prep time to cut the limes
  • Close to 2 minutes to create the cranberry rosemary garnishes
  • Around 2 minutes to fill a cocktail shaker with the ice, alcohol, and juices and shake

WHAT GOES WELL WITH FESTIVE CRANBERRY MARGARITAS?

Festive Cranberry Margaritas go well with a wide variety of snacks.

Some of my personal favorites include:

CAN I USE TRIPLE SEC INSTEAD OF COINTREAU?

Yes, you can use Triple Sec in this recipe instead of Cointreau.

Any orange liqueur will work perfectly in this margarita recipe.

The steps will be pretty much the same.

CAN I SKIP THE CRANBERRY ROSEMARY GARNISH?

The beautiful cranberry rosemary garnish is simple to make and turns this margarita into a showstopper.

If you cannot find fresh rosemary and cranberries you can skip the garnish.

WHAT IS THE BEST TEQUILA FOR MARGARITAS?

The best tequila for margaritas is a tequila that says it is 100% de agave or puro de agave.

You want a silver or Blanco tequila. This means the tequila has been aged in oak for up to two months.

You do not want to use a gold tequila because it has been aged longer in oak so it will have more of a woody flavor.

HOW CAN I TURN THIS INTO A PITCHER MARGARITA RECIPE?

You can easily turn this single margarita recipe into a pitcher margarita recipe by multiplying it by 8 to 16 depending on how many servings you want to create and then pouring all the ingredients into a pitcher instead of a cocktail shaker.

CAN I MAKE CRANBERRY MARGARITAS AHEAD OF TIME?

Yes, you can easily make this margarita recipe 1 day ahead of time.

I suggest making a pitcher of the drink, keeping it refrigerated until you are ready to serve, and stirring it before serving.

This is a great way to prep for a party.

SHOULD I USE UNSWEETENED OR SWEETENED CRANBERRY JUICE?

I suggest you use sweetened cranberry juice because unsweetened might be too tart in this festive cranberry margarita recipe.

I DON’T LIKE CRANBERRY JUICE. IS THERE ANOTHER JUICE YOU RECOMMEND?

You can use any juice you want to create these margaritas but if you want to keep them festive feeling try using apple cider instead of cranberry juice.

You’ll still have the comfy feeling of the holidays with the yummy apple and cinnamon flavor of the apple cider.

WHAT ELSE CAN I ADD TO THIS FESTIVE CRANBERRY MARGARITAS RECIPE?

This simple Cranberry Margaritas recipe not only tastes great, but it’s also incredibly versatile.

Try adding a rim of sugar to your margarita glasses. YUM!
