Don’t Toss Your Old Wine Corks! ReCORK them!

Okay wine drinkers! This post is for you. Don’t toss your old wine corks! ReCORK them!

Don’t Toss Your Old Wine Corks! ReCORK them!

I’m going to tell you a secret. It wasn’t until I moved literally five minutes away from a winery that I drank wine with corked bottles. I know! I was missing out and drinking that cheap stuff. So now that my neighbors are awesome and make the most amazing wine, I have a ton of corks! Do you? If so, stop throwing them away. ReCORK them!

Don't Toss ReCORK

ReCORK takes your wine corks, and repurposes them into useful things!

Here’s what you do. Save up all of your corks. Then use this map, and find a ReCORK collecting location near you. See how easy that is? Keep all of these used corks out of landfills, and let them have a new life. I know they’re not actually alive, but they once were. Cork products come from Cork Oak Trees. And did you know that approximately thirty one billion bottles of wine are consumed worldwide. That’s a lot of corks that end up in our landfills.

So what do they make?

ReCORK makes this really nifty 198 Block. It’s completely made from one hundred and ninety eight recycled corks. How cool is that? It’s perfect for yoga and fitness. This cork block offers the user a non-slip surface for working out. If you happen to have a fitness or yoga enthusiast on your holiday gift list, then this Yoga Block by ReCORK is the perfect gift!

They have designed a surf board traction pad that’s made out of, you guessed it, thirty two recycled corks. It hasn’t been released yet, but if you surf, or know someone that does, you need to get on their mailing list!
