Don’t Stuff it – Un Stack it!
I need more drawer space. I just never have enough room in my dresser. Now that winter is here I was finding it hard to stuff all my fleece tops and bottoms in my dresser drawers. They wouldn’t fit. I had a folded stack of clothes that were piled in my closet but they were constantly falling and looking messy. I’ve had this problem for awhile and I just couldn’t figure out what to do about it. I had two of these plastic three-drawer organizers that I used but both were taking up too much space. Do you have one of these?
Then, it came to me! I could put it under my sink. I rushed to the bathroom and tried to get it to fit in the bottom cabinet. It didn’t work. I was not discouraged since I just knew there had to be a way. The width was perfect, the length would work it was just an inch too tall. Isn’t that the way life goes – you have this great idea and you are just “this close” to making it work. Have no fear because I started pulling the drawers apart, and to my surprise it was so easy!
I separated one drawer off the organizer and put the lid back on with a snap. Hooray for me, just look at my nice two drawer organizer that fits perfectly under the sink! The only issue now is what to do with the extra drawer. At this point, I just figured I would add it to that other three-drawer organizer and it worked! I have an organizer with four-drawers! Now I have plenty of room for my warm clothes that are so thick they won’t stuff in my dresser. And the greatest part is that I am not taking up any more room. I was thrilled with my new set-up and just had to share.
If you have a three-drawer organizer and want to re-arrange it – then go for it! You might have to tug a little in the beginning but both of mine snapped right into place! I can’t tell you how excited I was to be able to use the space under the sink for more drawer space without taking up too much space or spending more money!
