From the author

Greetings Readers!

A few years ago I read about a fascinating historical event in Capt. Harry C. Butcher’s book My Three Years with Eisenhower (1946). Somehow, in 1942, a page went missing from Eisenhower’s personal war-time diary. That page contained vital details about the impending Allied invasion of North Africa. Butcher never mentioned that the page was recovered. Readingabout it I started thinking: What if that page had fallen into thewrong hands? Who actually took it? What was really at stake??

I’ve been a student of WWII history and a big fan of historical fiction in general for as long as I can remember so I decided I’d try my hand at crafting a thriller by playing out my answers to these questions.

I had a blast writing it and I think it has come together well. It’s even getting some positive reviewsfrom Kirkus Reviews, BlueInk Reviews, Foreword/Clarion Reviews and IndieReader not to mention other great novelists like Steve Berry, James R. Benn and James Thayer.

I’d love for you to read it and let me know what you think! And if you like it (and even if you don’t), it’d be a great help if you could leave a review on the page. That way soon-to-be-readers will know more what to expect.

My Thoughts

After reading the Prologue, I was drawn in from page one. I love war type movies (I think this would make a great movie too), so reading a war book was intriguing to me. The characters each have their own background stories that the author shares with you to help readers get an understanding of why they act the way they do. As you are reading along, you can’t help but get enthralled with this book. THE TORCH BETRAYAL: A Conor Thorn Novel is a page turner for sure that will keep you up at night just because you just cannot put this book down. I highly recommend, THE TORCH BETRAYAL: A Conor Thorn Novel.
