We all have bowel movements, but for some of us, it is harder than others.  The Squatty Potty is a stool (no pun intended) that puts you in a perfect squatting position.  This is ideal to get rid of waste.  The stool has a small incline for comfort.  It also has rubber grips on the bottom so it won’t slide away from you.  It is u-shaped to fit under the toilet when you are finished.  I wasn’t sure it was going to work for me, but it did!  I have some issues with my back, but it didn’t bother that at all.  Studies show that we eliminate easier when we are in a squatting position.
