In the interest of getting your sleep schedule under control, make a point of getting between seven and eight hours of sleep every night.

This may mean stopping certain activities sooner than you’d like, but the long-term benefits to your mental health should prove well worth the minor inconvenience.
So, unless whatever you’re doing is a matter of life or death, save it for tomorrow if it cuts into your sleep schedule.
Additionally, take care to shut off all your screens about an hour before bedtime and use this time to engage in activities that are conducive to relaxation.

If a formal bedtime routine is something you haven’t had since you were a child, this is likely to seem like a big adjustment.
However, after a few weeks of practice, your new routine should seem like second nature. Proper sleep is essential to recharging our batteries, relaxing our minds, and reinvigorating our bodies, so if stress reduction is what you’re after, take care to refine your sleep schedule.
