Silver Dollar City is a theme park set in the 1880s. Shows, rides, and crafts make this a theme park for all ages. The entire family will delight in watching crafters use historic tools to create works of art and delicious food right before your eyes. It is not only an amusement park, but also a step back into the history of the early days of the Ozarks. With every employee wearing the clothing of those early settlers, you will get a feel for life during those days.

After the opening ceremony we headed over to the World Fest. While there we got to try traditional global specialties from different countries. I think this was Ronnie’s favorite park, he loved tasting the food.

After eating the wonderful food. we headed over to watch Benise – The Spanish Guitar show. This show was phenominal, the way he works the gutiar is wonderful, and watching the dancers, makes you want to dance. Benise is armed with his guitar and leads audiences on an amazing journey through the rich landscape of Latin music, drawing inspiration from diverse styles including Spanish Flamenco, Cuban Salsa and Brazilian Samba. Ronnie really enjoyed this show.

Silver Dollar City is home to many wonderful roller coasters, like the Powder Keg. Another favorite is the OutLaw Run, the world’s first and only double barrel roll on a wood coaster, with a 720-degree (double) barrel roll. There are kiddie rides as well as rides that will get you wet. There is something for everyone!
