There are many things that I considered staples for when we brought our children home from the hospital. Two of those staples are baby lotion and diaper rash cream. Our favorites have been Baby Magic baby lotion and Boudreaux’s butt paste. They are the perfect addition to any nursery. We carry them both in our diaper bag as well as have them throughout the house.

We lather our kids with baby lotion almost every night, especially those nights that they’ve had baths. It makes their skin so smooth and they smell fresh and clean with that baby soft scent. Baby Magic first appeared in 1950. Now, for 65 years, Baby Magic has touched millions of homes around the country. On the Baby Magic website, under the “Baby Talk” tab, you can find some interesting tips on diaper bags, calming babies, baby products and other useful information to help with child rearing. This product is hypo-allergenic too!
Boudreaux’s butt paste
Lets face it. Having a baby means dealing with messy diapers and ultimately means at some point dealing with diaper rashes. It has been our experience with Boudreaux’s butt paste, that just applying it to their bottoms, just even overnight, makes a considerable difference in their rash. In 1978 George Boudreaux, a pharmacist and father from Louisiana partnered with a pediatrician to form Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. It has been treating diaper rashes ever since and in just three days!. On their website you can find information regarding diaper rash prevention, types of diaper rashes and other interesting facts about their products and diaper rashes.
I include both of these items in gift baskets at baby showers and recommend them to all of my expecting friends. I cannot stress enough that these are the perfect addition to any nursery.
