Last week while we visited Branson, MO, we had the opportunity to go to the New Shanghai Circus – Acrobats of China. The performers are really talented and seem to genuinely enjoy preforming. Not only did we get to enjoy some amazing stunts, but they also laced Chinese history into the show, which I felt was a nice touch.
These acrobats of China showcase dramatic interpretations of classic Chinese dance and physical performance art. The costumes are beautiful and so colorful. The New Shanghai Circus celebrates the exotic wonders of China with revolving line-up of internationally award winning specialty acts from pole climbing, chair stacking, and so many wonderful acrobats, it will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The acrobats were flawless and did things that were not only skillful but very beautifully done as well. The artistry and amazing athleticism kept our attention from beginning to end. We saw skills that were new and different to us and feats of strength, flexibility and coordination that were unbelievable. I couldn’t believe how they could bend their bodies like they did, I never thought the human body could bend like that!
