When I was a kid, I didn’t want to be “shunned” to the kids table. Well as an adult, I kind of like it better with the kids. First of all, the adults table is so jam packed, it makes my anxiety sky rocket. Secondly, us picky eaters need to stick together! This year, make the kids table the place to be for Turkey Day!
Make the Kids Table the Place to be for Turkey Day
Since kids tend to be pickier eaters than adults, lets make Turkey Day dinner more fun for them! They’ll want to be at that table, and they’re going to want to eat these goodies!
Have Some Fun
Kids get antsy waiting. In our family, we always plate their food first, but there’s still time where they’re sitting at the table bored. Let’s make it fun! Grab a sheet, or an old linen table cloth, and then get some Crayola Fabric Markers. Let the kids go wild! They can make hand turkeys with their names and more. Then, all you need to is iron it to make the marker stay. The kids can add to it every year! (Party City even has disposable ones they can color on too!)
A Fun, but Healthy Drink
Skip the pop! This year, give the kids AquaBall. It’s naturally flavored water that’s free of sugar, and preservatives. Also, it comes in a neat shape, and each one features Disney characters your children will love. They have Princesses, Super Heroes, and more! With four tasty flavors the kidlets will love, and parents will love that they’re healthy!
Just Say No To Turkey
Okay, so not all kids eat everything that’s served over the holidays. As a mom of a boy with food aversions, I know how hard it is to find things that kids will eat. Don’t stress about tradition. Let the kids eat something different. You’ll all be happier in the end! Check out Field Roast. They have Vegan grain meats are that are frozen. Just reheat and enjoy! They have corn dogs, fruffalo wings, and more.
Healthy Noodles
Yes, there are healthy noodles. Explore Cuisines Bean Pastas are tasty, and better for you. Kids will like the colors. Parents will like that their kids are eating veggies without knowledge of it. (Sneaky sneaky!)
Spice Up Your Coconut Oil
If you cook with coconut oil, check out Carrington Farms. They have flavored ones with garlic or rosemary to help add some extra flavor to these dishes. Check it out!
Dessert
Don’t forget dessert! My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike. First of all, there’s no prep. Secondly, these ice cream bites are popable which eliminates mess and dessert dishes! They come in a seven flavors, so grab one of each.
