Gift Ideas for College Students

Students are notoriously hard to buy for, as are men, and anyone that isn’t a child really. College students spend a lot of their time either studying, or working. You could try and get them a gift that would make their lives easier, or something completely different to give them a bit of an escape. Whatever your budget is, there should be something on this list to help you.

An Organizer

More people than ever now choose to study online for an online MBA degree. Northeastern University, for example, offers a great range of online MBA programs. Online students have probably got a diary full of work assignments and study time. Often, when studying online without formal lecture times, it can be hard to manage your time effectively. An organizer or planner could really help. It’s often easier to plan when things are written down on paper, rather than saved in a phone.

A Polaroid

Polaroids are a fun gift. Students are creating a lot of memories, with loads of fun experiences. Why not get them a new camera to save these memories? Vintage and retro are really in style now, so what could be cooler?

Home Furnishings

Some students are living away from home for the first time. Gifts that can help them make their room their own would be really welcome. Think homely, things like posters and picture frames. If you’re not sure of their tastes a gift card would be another good option. Even students studying in online MBA programs that haven’t had to move house would probably value some home furnishings, to help them escape from their studies.

A Backpack

Backpacks are very fashionable at the moments, so there are some great options around. Look for something big enough to fit all of their books in, but still on trend and fashionable. A backpack is a practical yet fun gift for a student.

A Bike

Often students use public transport if their campus is a bit further away than they want to walk. A bike would give them a great alternative. Biking is a fantastic way to save money and stay fit and healthy.

Pajamas

There’s nothing a student likes more than a pajama day, so buy them some nice sleepwear for days when they’ve got assignments due and don’t want to get dressed. Or just for rest days chilling out at home. There are so many different pajamas available, but they’re often one of those things we don’t ever buy ourselves, we just get as gifts.

Pamper Products

For those all-important rest days, girls love a good face mask or a food-rub. Even boys are starting to get more into self-care, with male pamper products becomes more widely available.

Food Storage

Students often have a lot of leftovers, or they live in shared housing, so they need to make sure their food is obviously theirs. Some novelty or stylish food storage containers could be a great gift.

Students need looking after, as they work hard. Whether it’s a mature student, or someone living away from home for the first time, a ThatSweetGift can give them a little boost. As well as combating any possible home sickness they may feel.
