It never fails. When it’s time to go, we’re often left waiting on our kids to either pee, find their shoes, or get them on. Well today I want to tell you about a nifty gadget that will eliminate one off those things. Get your kid to put their shoes on in a snap.

Okay, so when they finally locate those blasted shoes, chances are the laces are in a ball of knots. Who has time for that crap? Also, with sensory issues of my own, I can’t stand the feel of the shoe lace material scraping against my nails. (Seriously shuddering just thinking of it.) Well that’s where Snaplaces comes in. No tying, no knots. Just snap and go.

So easy for little and big fingers

Snaplaces are so easy! Once you put them in your shoes, you just hook the closure over the lace. That’s it! These things are so handy I think they’re perfect for everyone. Little ones that can’t tie yet. Older kids (like mine) that struggle with fine motor skills and executive functioning. Even the elderly whose arthritis makes it hard to use their hands. Then of course you have the busy adults like me, and those into fitness that want an easy way to put on and take off their shoes. See? They really are for everyone!

What We Think

We have tried many different versions of no tie laces over the years. My son can tie, but due to executive functioning skills, it’s hard for him. Myself, I have Fibromyalgia and some days I just can’t bend over long enough to tie my shoes. The issues we found with the other no tie laces is that while they worked, they were too tight.

My son and I both have very wide feet. My family calls them “Flintstone feet.” So those other laces actually hurt us and pinched our feet. Recently I got us both some Snaplaces to try out. I’m happy to say that they work awesome. Not only is it a cinch to put on our shoes, but they are actually comfortable. There’s no pinching of our feet, and they are very comfy.
