Family Traditions During the Holiday

Family Traditions

The holiday season means new memories and family traditions.  My family is full of artists, so we like to create our own holiday cards.  Last year we made photo cards and this year we are creating paper cards plus other paper crafts. So this weekend we set up the table with card making supplies plus other goodies. Crafting takes work, and we get thirsty!

Coca-Cola® Mini Cans are a perfect size for family art night or family game night.  These mini cans are fun plus my kids never finish a whole can of soda, so that is why I buy these mini cans of Coca-Cola® at Sam’s club.  I can buy 30 mini cans at a time which will last awhile in my house.  The holiday season is here and so having something to sip on when guests come over is a given, I stock up at Sam’s Club during this time of the year. Plus Coca-Cola® is such a treat and special occasions like this it is needed.

Family Traditions During the HolidayCard Making

All you need is paper, pens, scissors, glue and a creative mind!  Spending time with my teenage daughter is so important because it seems the older she gets, the less she wants to be with me. I appreciate that she wanted to make cards with me this year and having these times makes me so happy. I want her to remember these family traditions we do every year and hope she does the same with her kids.  Family is what is the holidays are all about so cherish the moments.

Family Traditions During the Holiday

Like I said earlier we are making paper holiday cards this year, you can buy a holiday paper card book or print your very own.  I did both this year.  To help make our cards we used canva.com, which is super easy graphic design site. We made paper envelopes for the cards that came from the book; I always pick up holiday card paper at our local craft store.

My daughter still believes in Santa (well that is what she tells me), so we go to town decorating the house. I use her as the excuse, but I enjoy decorating for the Holidays.  Snowmen are always my theme, but I switch it up every year with paper crafts.  I love to create printables for my home too, like this one!

My family and I love holidays and the family traditions we have. This is the time where we are sticking back together and share some love and stories. How happy it is to be reminded by these traditions.
