BLUEBERRY DONUTS INGREDIENTS
This easy Blueberry Donut recipe uses everyday kitchen staples to create a delicious snack your family will love.
All you need is:
- flour
- baking powder
- baking soda
- light brown sugar
- sugar
- powdered sugar
- large eggs
- buttermilk
- whole milk
- unsalted butter
- fresh blueberries
- pure vanilla extract
- apple pie spice
APPLE BLUEBERRY DONUTS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
First, start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees and spray a doughnut pan with cooking spray.
Next, using a food processor or blender, puree the blueberries and set them aside.
Now to make the donut batter, in a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and apple pie spice.
Using a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Gradually whisk in the dry ingredients into the wet until combined.
Carefully fold in the pureed blueberries.
Scoop the batter into the piping bag.
Fill the doughnut cavity with the batter.
Bake in the oven for 11-13 minutes or until a light golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Gently, remove the doughnuts from the pan and place them onto a wire rack to cool.
To make the yummy streusel topping, combine all streusel ingredients into a medium bowl.
Using your finger, work the mixture into a coarse crumble. Set aside.
Now to make the vanilla glaze, using a medium bowl, whisk all ingredients until combined.
First, dip the top of the doughnut into the glaze and place it onto the wire rack.

As for the taste, however, in my opinion, the fresh ones taste better.
WHAT’S IN APPLE PIE SPICE?
Apple Pie Spice contains a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and some recipes include cardamon.
You can use it to make apple pie, french toast, donuts, or anything that needs that yummy cinnamon and nutmeg taste.
You can make your own apple pie spice blend by mixing together 1 tbsp ground cinnamon, ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, and a dash of allspice.
HOW DO I STORE THESE BLUEBERRY DONUTS?
You can store these donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or store in the freezer in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

- ¾ C light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ C buttermilk
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 C Pureed Blueberries, 1 C fresh blueberries
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp apple pie spice
- 1 disposable piping bag
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spay a doughnut pan with pam baking spray
- Using a food processor or blender, puree the 1 C of blueberries and set aside
- Using a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, bakingsoda, and apple pie spice
- Using a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, buttermilk, meltedbutter and vanilla
