Yes, you can use canned pumpkin puree in this recipe instead of pumpkin pie.
Try using about ½ cup of canned pumpkin, make sure to add some extra sugar.
As for the taste, however, in my opinion, nothing beats using the real deal pumpkin pie in this smoothie.

Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
- 1 piece of Pumpkin pie crust included
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup of whole milk you can substitute skim, or 1 %, or Soy or Almond
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla syrup
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Whipped cream to top
- Sprinkles of your choice we used fall colors
- 1 small piece of pumpkin pie and leaves made from pie crust for additional garnish Optional
- Place the slice of pumpkin pie, ice cream, milk, vanilla syrup, sugar, and cinnamon in the blender, and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the Milkshake into a coffee mug, and top with whipped cream, sprinkles, a small piece of pumpkin pie, and pie crust leaves.
