Attention Star Wars Fans: Quarto Creates Has Some Great Art Books Just For You!

There are some really cool art books from Quarto Creates that I highly recommend checking out, especially if you’re a Star Wars fan. The first two books are about drawing Star Wars characters (droids and villains) and Star Wars vehicles. The third book is a Star Wars origami book. All three books are really fun and can provide hours of artistic activity.

Quarto

Learn To Draw Star Wars: Droids & Vehicles

Learn To Draw Star Wars: Droids & Vehicles (ISBN: 9781633226852, 128 pages) is the first book. In this book you can learn to draw R2-D2, C-3PO, the cute little BB-8, the Millennium Falcon, and more! The book also addresses pencil techniques and “Depicting Different Materials” (such as dull metal vs. shiny metal).

The book guides you through step-by-step directions as you learn to draw some amazing pictures depicting the famous droids and vehicles featured in Star Wars. There are also artist tips throughout the book so you can learn from experience. It’s a really cool book and it truly demonstrates the amazing artistic capabilities of a pencil (and your hand).

The artist that made this book possible is Russell Walks, a professional artist. Mr. Walks has “created work based on science fiction and pop culture for some of the largest and most well-known companies in the world” (p. 128).

This book is available in softcover and is on the Quarto Knows website. The book retails for $19.99 (all prices in this post are subject to change)

Learn To Draw Star Wars: Villains

The second book is Learn To Draw Star Wars: Villains (ISBN: 9781633226845, 128 pages). This book was also created with the talent of Russell Walks. In this book, the reader learns to draw the infamous characters such as Darth Vadar, Kylo Ren, Jabba the Hutt, and more. This book also addresses pencil techniques and goes into more detail regarding adding texture.

The book walks the reader through step-by-step directions so that he or she can learn how to draw detailed portraits and other ways of depicting the Star Wars villains. The focus is on people (or creatures), so it’s a great book to learn from in terms of drawing people (or creatures), which (in my opinion) is a great, and sometimes challenging, subject matter to learn to draw and master as an artist.

This book retails for $19.99 on the Quarto Knows website. It is available in softcover.

Star Wars Origami

The final book is going to have origami fans drop their jaws! It’s called Star Wars Origami: Instructions For 10 Models (ISBN: 9780760361979, 232 pages), by Karol Kafarski. As the title states, this book provides instructions for creating origami depicting Star Wars models, including BB-8, an X-wing T-70, a Stormtrooper transporter, the Millennium Falcon, and more.

Quarto 2

The author provides instruction regarding origami symbols and folding techniques. And, as for the origami projects, the book provides step-by-step diagrams demonstrating how to fold and form some amazing origami Star Wars creations. And, these are very detailed directions. For example, the BB-8 takes 159 steps. Now, that may sound intimidating, but I see it as a wonderful origami challenge. And, I think you’ll be impressed with the results! The book, according to the Quarto website, is for origami skill levels of beginner to expert.

This book is also available on the Quarto Knows website. It is in softcover and retails for $24.99
