  • 3 cups of flour
  • 9 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 9 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of whole milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 9 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 3 teaspoons of vanilla
  • Red and green food gel
  • Mini M&M’s

How to Make a Christmas pancakes

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 30-45 minutes

Yields 5-7 pancakes per color

Step 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and sugar.

Step 2. Add the eggs and melted butter and mix. Slowing whisk in the milk until batter forms.

Step 3. Divide the batter into three. Mix one with a teaspoon of red gel and another with a teaspoon of green gel. Add more gel for bright colors.

Step 4. In a medium skillet, set the heat to low medium and spray lightly with oil.

Step 5. I like to place the batter in a food squeeze bottle for more accurate drawings (or you can use your pancake pen).

Step 6. Once the pan is hot, you can get creative. You can draw different figures such as a Christmas tree, a reindeer, snowman, Christmas stocking, candy canes, and a lot more.

Step 7. Decorate your Christmas pancakes. Top tree with M&Ms to make it a fun-lit tree, or to give the snowman eyes.
