8 Ways to Have Fun with Your Kids This Fall

8 Ways to Have Fun with Your Kids this Fall

Okay – so at this point in the game, I’m pretty sure you all know how obsessed I am with autumn. For those of you who are new to Kelly’s Thoughts on Things, welcome! I’m a recipe-creating, fashion-loving, and family-oriented type-of-lady. As mentioned, I love, love, LOVE the Fall season.

There are so many things to do during this time of the year. If you’re looking for fun, season-friendly activities for the family, look no further! Here are a few of my ideas:

Pile o’ Leaves
Start raking! There’s nothing like diving into a high-pile of leaves and getting into the spirit of Autumn.

Fall Foliage
Looking for a weekend getaway? Fresh out of ideas? Make it a trip to remember and go out looking for Fall foliage with the fam. It’s a great excuse to take a road trip during this time of the year.

Scarecrow Creation
Gather up the newspaper and build a scarecrow! It’ll be quite the challenge but will make for the perfect autumn décor – and Halloween, too!

Warm Apple Cider
Sometimes, there are days where you just want to stay in, read a good book, or watch a movie while cozing up in the living room. For those comfy family moments, stir up some homemade apple cider. Delicious and aromatic!

Halloween Planning
Take the time to plan out Halloween as a family. Browse around for costume ideas, talk over the safety behind Trick-or-Treating, map out your candy path for that night, etc. Halloween is such a wonderful time for the kidlets – make it really count and enjoy every single moment (down to the planning)!

Crafting with Leaves
Get your creativity on! There are so many fun crafts you can create with Autumn leaves. We especially love this one by momvstheboys.com.

Corn Roast
Who doesn’t love corn on the cob? Make one of your dinner nights a corn roast! Serve it up with butter, salt, and other fun toppings.

Pumpkin Patch
Time to take another trip with the family. Pumpkin patches are a great place to capture some photographs of the kids. Plus, they’ll have a great time seeing all the pumpkins (best part, obviously!).

What will you be up to for this autumn season? Anything that your kids have been wanting to do? Let’s talk about it in the comments below!

Hello Kelly, i really liked the list, best part is the roast corn. I love corn and my baby also likes it. Do you have any specific recipes of corn for a baby? My baby is 2 years old, so keeping in mind if you can suggest any good meal for my baby. Thank you so much in advance.
