Who doesn’t love getting creative? There’s just something so satisfying about making something out of different materials!
My kids and I love crafting. We use it as an excuse to spend extra time together. It’s fun, productive and it really gets our creative juices flowing.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I wanted to find some fun craft ideas. I’ve got a few favors to make and would like to dress up my home with season-appropriate décor.

6 Great Valentine’s Day Crafts

Painted Mason Jars: Mason jars are so versatile – I love how they can be used in so many different ways! For Valentine’s Day, I suggest painting them red, pink or even gold and using it as a vase (it can hold something simple, like a single rose). I mean, who can say no to flowers on V-day? How romantic!

Paper Flowers: There are many tutorials on how to make paper flowers. My favorite kinds are the ones made of crepe paper. I think they make beautiful centerpieces for the living room.

Marbled Mugs: Did you know that you can dress up a mug by using nail polish? In fact, using nail polish allows you to give your mug a beautiful, marbled look (which is totally on-trend at the moment). Why not personalize a mug and fill it up with Valentine chocolates for your next V-day favor?

Homemade Card: Let’s get back to basics: who remembers making Valentine’s Day cards? These will never go out of style because you can personalize them for whoever it is you’re giving them to! I like to go the extra mile by using sparkles and lace.

Garland Collage: Garlands are a traditional Valentine’s Day piece. Why not step up your game by making yours a ‘garland collage?’ This involves using pictures and incorporating them into your garland. I love doing this with heart-shapes. They’re fun, meaningful and you can involve all of your family members!

Heart-Shaped Crayons: This is a craft that kids love making and receiving. Do you have a lot of broken crayons lying around? Why not make heart-shaped crayons? All you have to do is melt crayon bits in silicone heart molds and allow them to set. They are the simplest and cutest favors!
