5 Ways To Make Exercise Fun

You might be reading this and thinking that I’m nuts.

You’re probably right, I won’t even try and argue that.

However, not for the same reasons you’re thinking.

It might sound crazy to you now whilst you are still deep in the couch-potato life, but trust me – exercise can be fun.

5 Ways To Make Exercise Fun

I’m no gym bunny and most of the time I can’t even spell exercise, but here are 5 ways to make exercising fun!

1. Grab A Friend

Most things in life are way more fun with a friend and exercise is no different.

Sharing the experience with someone you like can make it worlds more enjoyable.

Pair up with your buddy for jogging, yoga, a game of tennis or even a dance party.

Two people can dance in the middle of the day, it’s a thing!

There are so many activities that are designed for doing in pairs and even some of the solitary activities are just better when someone else joins you.

You’ll have an extra person motivating you as well, which is helpful.

2. Cute Outfits

Once you’ve found your friend (or friends) to exercise with, you can get super cute matching outfits.

There are loads of different word puns you can get printed on matching gym shirts, you can get such adorable hydro flask stickers for staying trendy while you’re hydrating on the go.

You don’t have to break the bank on these either, you can even make your own DIY versions which will look just as good!

3. Pump Up Your Jams!

I shudder to think how terrible life would be without music.

Get your energy levels up and your heart racing with your favourite tracks and then add them to your special gym playlist.

The right workout music can make a massive difference in how you feel and perform and certainly impacts how much fun you have while you’re doing it.

4. Get Outside

Venturing outside might seem tricky these days, but getting some sunlight does wonders for your mind as well as for your body.

Spending just 30 minutes outside each day getting some fresh air and vitamin D goes a long way in keeping you motivated.

Staying motivated will help you to get the recommended daily exercise you need to keep you healthy and feeling inspired.

You could opt to exercise for a good cause, like a park run for breast cancer awareness, that way you’ll be helping more than just yourself and getting your steps in at the same time.

5. Add Variety

Doing the same thing repeatedly will get incredibly boring and super quickly too.

Mix things up by playing a game of tennis, jumping on a pogo stick, using a skipping rope etc.

Using a skipping rope burns the same number of calories that running does!

If that’s not your speed then Hula Hoops are a fantastic way to get your workout in without even knowing it, just crank up the music and start hooping!

You don’t need to be particularly good at any of these to enjoy doing them.

Don’t worry about looking silly, having fun is all that counts here.
