With winter season still going on in the Southern hemisphere, but just around the corner for the Northern part of the world, this time of the year is the great time to plan ahead your winter holidays.

If you are lucky enough that you can afford traveling to distant parts of the world then you probably don’t really care which season is where you are. You can always fly across the globe to reach out areas of the map where it’s snowing at that particular moment.

On the other hand, if you are on a limited budget and you can’t quite afford flying half the globe just to have some skiing fun at any time of the year, you should just as well take a look at this list we made here.

Enjoy in getting to know 3 best ski resorts in the world gathered from all around the globe.

Perisher resort

If you’re feeling like skiing and boarding right now and you’re in Europe, you better pack your bags and head to Australia. Also, those who told you that the Australian continent doesn’t have suitable ski resorts were pretty much wrong.

South of the continent is the home to Snowy Mountains and the largest ski resort on the Southern Hemisphere – Perisher resort. Sitting on top of four villages, Snowy Mountains is where you’ll find the highest peak in Australia – Mount Kosciuszko.

But it’s not all. If you head even deeper to the south to the state of Victoria, you can enjoy a nice and adrenaline pumped ski fun on Mount Hotham. This is where some of the most notable ski events are taking place exactly at this time of the year.

Meribel

Probably the most notable part of the French Les Trois Vallees ski system is Meribel ski resort. It is sitting on 3 villages which are interlinked by ski slopes and paths. The best part of it is that Meribel is equally suitable for both ski experts because of its very steep and challenging lines, but is a perfect match for those who are just learning how to ski.

However, Meribel is not as good when it comes to nightlife as the neighboring resort of Val d’Isere. So, if you are looking for plenty of entertainment during the night it is more likely that you’ll choose the latter over Meribel. This is where most of young Britons are going to ski and have fun during winter nowadays.

Whistler

Whistler ski resort is just inland from Vancouver and it’s where most of the Northern Americans prefer to ski, especially those who are looking for a more challenging ski adventure.

Because of its geographic location, Whistler-Blackcomb area, where this ski resort is actually located, enjoys an abundance of snow in the winter period due to Pacific storms. This results in snow not being as dry as it is in most of the other ski resorts, which makes up for pretty challenging ski slopes even for experienced skiers.

All in all, you can line up for a good winter holiday no matter what time of the year it is. You just have to know where to look.
