Always on the lookout for different tinted moisturizers to use, I received the SUZANOBAGIMD Soothing Complex Calming Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 25. Dr. Suzan Obagi partnered with Obagi Medical to scientifically formulate a skin care line. It addresses the signs of skin aging for all skin types, while remaining free of harsh ingredients. The ingredients are supposed to soothe delicate, post-procedure skin and provide a lightweight, hydrating, irritant-free environment to allow compromised skin to recover.
Moisturizers with SPF
I have not had any procedures ever or at this point (never say never!), but I always wear moisturizer with SPF during the day and a tinted moisturizer. With that said, this is still something that anyone can use who likes a tinted moisturizer with SPF. Most tinted moisturizers I’ve seen have an SPF of 15, so this is offering more UVA and UVB protection which is great.
SPF is so important to include into your daily moisturizing, regardless of the weather outside. The sun’s rays are always peeping through. As we know, spending time in the sun, even for a short time, increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. An SPF value of 15 or higher is recommended to decrease these risks. Limiting time in the sun and wearing long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses helps as well.
HYDRATE AND PERFECT
The formula is suitable for dry, delicate skin and can soothe and hydrate with ingredients like sodium hyaluronate and aloe. The moisturizer is tinted, but ever so slightly. This helps to blur minor imperfections and will adapt to a range of skin tones and complexions. The hue seemed a bit light for my skin tone at first. Then, I put it on and it seemed to blend right in with my complexion.
