William Shatner Is Back in “Aliens Ate My Homework”

Aliens Ate My Homework

Do you remember William Shatner?  If you’re not too young and remember “Star Trek,” you probably do!  Well, he’s back!!  He’s in an upcoming film, “Aliens Ate My Homework,” which is a cute, fun, and funny film based on Bruce Coville’s best-selling book series. It’s like “The Littles” meets “The Jetsons” in a “Let’s save the world!” scenario.

My family watched it and enjoyed it.  It is an adventure story that begins with a miniature-sized spaceship and its miniature aliens  crashing into the bedroom of a sixth-grader named Rod. They didn’t just crash into his room; they also crashed into and ruined Rod’s science project. As the story progresses, the miniature aliens turn out to be friendly and enlist Rod’s (and his cousin’s) help to defeat an alien criminal.  And, as it turns out, this alien criminal is in a disguise as the boy that bullies Rod!  To make matters worse, not only do they need to take care of the criminal, but they are also tasked with saving the world from potential disaster. These are not easy tasks for a couple of young kids and miniature aliens!

Here Are The Details

Where does William Shatner come in? Well, he’s the voice of Phil, one of the nice aliens. The film’s director is Sean McNamara (“The King’s Daughter”). The film also stars Jayden Greig (“The Shape of Water”), Lauren McNamara (“Summer of Dreams”), Kirsten Robek (“The Edge of Seventeen”), Dan Payne (“Star Trek Beyond”), Ty Consiglio (“Wonder”) and Alex Zahara (“Riverdale”).

It’s an adorable movie, which is sure to stir the imagination of young kids!  It was clean, family fun and inspired me to want to check out Coville’s book series, which is super popular.

Here is a trailer with an introduction with William Shatner.  The film is the first of a planned series of inventive, action comedies from Universal 1440 Entertainment.

The intergalactic adventure, “Aliens Ate My Homework,” arrives on DVD, Digital, and On Demand on March 6th, 2018! It is rated PG for some rude humor, mild action and thematic elements.
