Welcome to the Disney awards, and with so many wonderful characters it’s been an almost an impossible job selecting a winner for each category. We like to think that all of the colorful Disney characters deserve a big fat medal for being unique and amazing. The Britto Collection by Disney showcases the cream of the crop, featuring the best Disney characters to grace our screens. Without further ado let’s roll out the red carpet and announce the deserving winners:
Award for the Most Curious Character Goes To:
Alice In Wonderland.
Inquisitiveness could be our heroine’s middle name! Alice falls down a rabbit hole while chasing the intriguing white rabbit (who seems to be a terrible timekeeper). She finds herself in a strange and mysterious land and while she’s there meets the rather mad Hatter, the vicious Queen of Hearts (off with her head) and a whole assortment of other bizarre (but rather wonderful characters). Well done Alice we salute you for your inquiring mind and bravery in the face of adversity.
Award for the Most Charming Disney Character Goes To:
Winnie The Pooh
Pooh isn’t the sharpest tool in the box, but he is exceptionally friendly, a wonderful friend to all and very resolute in his approach. His intellect may be questionable but Pooh does have common sense and a knack for coming up with a good idea or two. He also loves to socialize with his buddies, regaling them with his home-spun poetry and going out of his way to being kind to each and every one (including the often-ungrateful Eeyore)!
Award for the Craziest Character Goes To:
The Cheshire Cat
The Cheshire Cat is a well-known member of the Alice in Wonderland cast and is renowned for his powerful persona, rather mischievous ways and of course his inane grin.
The Cheshire Cat seems to enjoy going out of his way to annoy most of the people he meets and he also likes to show off! Completely at ease with his insanity, when Alice tells him she does not wish to be among mad people, he simply informs her “You can’t help that, we’re all mad here!”
Award for The Cutest Disney Character Goes To:
Simba the Lion Cub
Cocky and confident, but impossibly cute, didn’t we all fall in love with Simba as he bounced along to the memorable “I just can’t wait to be king!” Simba stands out as the most adorable lion cub we’ve ever had the pleasure to meet (not that we’ve met that many)! We were all rooting for him, knowing that he must accept his fate and somehow mature enough to take his rightful place as King of The Jungle. In true Disney style, we had to bite our nails as the little cub grew up fast and faced heartache and enemies during his rise to the top.
Award for the Most Tenacious Character Goes To:
Tinkerbell.
I do believe in fairies, I do, I do. Tinkerbell may be small but she packs a powerful punch. She manages to be thoughtful and sweet without being a pushover. Tinkerbell has boundless energy and stays true to what she believes in, always striving to be the best and realize her dreams (and somehow finding the time to help out friends along the way). Girl power at it’s best.
Award for The Character with The Best Hair (Ever) Goes to:
Rapunzel – no surprises there! Rapunzel’s locks aren’t just long they are also exceptionally strong and have magical powers to boot. With hair that amazing Rapunzel is the only Disney character, we could choose to receive this accolade!
Award for Life Time Services to Disney Goes to:
It has to be the one and only Mickey Mouse. The official mascot of Walt Disney, he’s getting on a bit now (Mickey was created in 1928), but he still knows how to wow an audience. Mickey Mouse isn’t ridiculously funny or impossibly zany, but he has a human element that ensures he appeals to all and sundry. He is also instantly recognizable with his red shorts, white gloves, and huge yellow shoes.
Mickey can be humorous, heroic, scatter-brained, and bold all in one and we love to watch his exploits and antics. Along with his good pals Minnie, Donald and Goofy, and of course his beloved pet dog Pluto, Mickey has given pleasure to countless Disney fans across the globe. We are sure he will continue to delight and amuse for many more years to come.
