I love taking my kids when I travel on short road trips or to other countries, but I had to learn the hard way that traveling with them is not anywhere close to the same as traveling with an adult.
There are changes and adjustments that need to be made and some prep work that goes into it, so I’m sharing some of my methods for traveling with them.

Take Lots of Activities
Kids need to stay busy or they’ll be bored and become irritable and fussy, and probably start fighting.
You may be tempted to just pack tablets for them to play on the whole time, but you know that’s not really good for them.
To ensure you have well-adjusted kids who don’t need digital entertainment to survive, you’ll want to be packing books, physical games, toys, and a variety of activities suitable for your travels.
I sometimes make up activity books by printing off activity sheets online that match my kids interests.
This way, they get specially tailored activity books that they love, making the trip feel extra special and interesting to them.
Give Yourself Activity Time
If you’re going to be spending a lot of time with your kids in travel, you’ll need some time to relax for yourself.
I just take a book to pull out whenever I need a little me time, but not everybody wants the same kind of relaxation.
Some people prefer digital escapes, like video games, movies, or สล็อตแตกง่าย.
See how relaxing it is to play some online slots and win prizes. You probably won’t want to stop after a few rounds.
You may want to choose something that you can do quietly while the kids are asleep or while they’re engaged in their own activities.
Maybe none of the things I listed interest you, and what you may need is to do a little planning.
You can take the free time you have while you travel and plan where you’re going next or plan what changes you want to make to your home when you get back.
Pack Some Food
Have you ever tried to take your kids to a restaurant and been embarrassed because they don’t like anything on the menu?
If that’s happened to you, then you may really feel the wisdom of this tip.
Do a little grocery shopping while you’re traveling or before you travel so you can pull out food for your kids whenever they’re hungry without going through the hassle of them rejecting an entire restaurant menu.
Bring Night Lights
Kids may initially be excited about new places to sleep, like hotel rooms or staying by family, but in the night they may get scared by the new space.
It can be a little frightening to them, and you can ease them into it by bringing their favorite night light with you.
When you plug in the night light, it will give off the same glow they are used to at home, and they will feel more comfortable.

Plan Outdoor Activities
If your kids are sitting on a plane or in a car for long hours, they’ll probably end up with a lot of pent up energy.
This can make them irritable or make it difficult for them to go to sleep when you’re ready to sleep.
That’s why it’s so important to plan outdoor activities every day for them.
Give them time to run around and wear themselves out. You will have kids that are much more relaxed and easy to please; plus they’ll fall asleep faster.
Save the Treats for Long Rides
One of the biggest challenges we face when traveling with kids is to keep them occupied or appeased while traveling long distances.
My suggestion is to hold off on the screen time and snacks while they’re not in transit.
Then, you can pull those out to keep them interested when you’re traveling for hours at a time.
It treats and screen time will be more special to them, and the long ride won’t feel quite so long.
These tips should help you get a little rest and relaxation while you’re traveling and help make things easier on you when you’re bringing the kids with you.
