Tips for Snacking on the Go

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Acorn and Fiber One. All opinions are 100% mine!

If there is one thing I am; it is busy. Between my son and daughter, it’s easy to see WHY we are so busy all of the time. However, while we are on the go, we also get hungry. I have noticed that it is a lot easier to prep and bring snacks with us than it is to stop somewhere. Not to mention, it’s a lot healthier to prep snacks to bring with you.

Prepare in advance – The most successful way to snack on the go is to prepare in advance. Don’t rely on yourself to remember to bring something. Go ahead and prep it in advance. Sometimes I spend a few hours on the weekend preparing fruit and veggie bags to take with us on the go.

Eat before you go – If you think you will get really hungry while you are out, then eat before you go. You should eat every 3-4 hours or at least have a snack. By eating before you leave, you may make it back in time to have a snack before you get ravished again.

Make it simple – I think a lot of problems with healthy snacking today is that we make it too difficult on ourselves. My major tip for snacking on the go is to keep it simple. Buy a few containers that are just for snacks on the go. Use plastic baggies and keep the snack itself super simple.

Bring along something to drink – Keep this in mind whenever you’re preparing a snack for on the go, don’t forget the water or healthy drink. Sometimes I like to bring a fruit smoothie with me when I’m out and about. I also make sure I fill up my water bottle to bring along with me. Drinking while on the go is just as important as remember to fuel with food!

Go with Fiber One – In order to make snacking super easy for myself and my kids while on the go, I go with Fiber One. These amazing bars are made with 25% less sugar than before. I have noticed that the Fiber One Lemon Bars and Oats & Chocolate bars are our favorite and guilt free! Guess what? You can also grab Fiber One bars at Costco (one of my favorite places to shop, ever)! These bars are also free of artificial flavors and colors. The Fiber One Bars are so good; they should have another name, like sodelisousness!

Shopping at Costco is like shopping at your favorite fashion store. I love that they have a great selection of items, and it was so east to find the Fiber One Lemon Bars and Oats & Chocolate bars! They are right out in the open and easy to grab. Check out this Pinterest Board for more Snack On The Go posts!

The next time you are near a Costco, make sure to stop in and grab these delicious Fiber One Lemon Bars and Oats & Chocolate bars! Make the To Go Snack a good one!
