I wasn’t sure until I received this awesome little guy! I was lucky enough to try out the Porcelain Signature Series by Melitta. It came with everything needed for a great cup of coffee! I received the beautifully crafted cone in white porcelain, the filters, and some amazing coffee grinds! The coffee they sent was Vienna Dark Roast. YUMMY! It smells so good, and it has a wonderful velvety finish. Even the coffee itself would make a great gift!
Melitta Offers Many Kinds of Pour-Over Coffeemakers
Melitta offers a great selection of pour-over coffeemakers. There is the shatter-resistant one made out of a Tritan material, the porcelain version (that I received), and a beautiful new metallic finished one. The cones are so beautiful, they look like a work of art. The thing I love about these is they make a good cup of coffee so quickly! You start with a big cup (actually called a cone) and that has a small hole in the bottom of it. Then you put in your filter, scoop in your favorite coffee grinds and you are ready! Oh, don’t forget to put your coffee mug under the cone! Add the boiling (or hot) water over the grinds and within seconds you have a great cup of coffee!
Who Is This Melitta
Melitta Bentz is only the person that invented the pour-over method! She was a housewife in Germany that simply wanted a better cup of coffee! She started by punching holes in a brass pot, lined it with a sheet of notebook paper and there you go! We are very appreciative of her today for inventing this! At least I know I am.
This Makes A Great Gift
My sister is obsessed with different flavors of coffee and coffeemakers. She is always going to thrift stores and garage sales to find old, working coffeemakers. She would absolutely love to receive something like this! This would make a great gift for anyone that drinks coffee at all. The great thing about these pour-over coffeemakers is that it is great for people on the go. You could even take this with you camping. Imagine waking up on a brisk morning, being in the middle of nowhere and still being able to have a really great cup of coffee. Sounds perfect to me.
