Take Part In The 10th Anniversary Of SONIC’s Limeades For Learning

Everyone has their ideal look at what’s to be enjoyed in the world we live in. Everyone has their own perfect look on just about everything there is. Current events, different campaigns, food options, or just about anything you can think of. Above all, it’s important to remember that there’s always room for improvement. Like when it comes to the upcoming generations getting the proper education that they deserve. Growing up, my folks made sure I stayed in school, and it’s a continuing life lesson. After all, getting an education will always be the main focus to many.

On top of that, it can be hard to keep books, equipment, and other school items in the best condition. There are establishments and campaigns that work to help to support the improvement and condition that schools are in. Some are bigger than you think and have been around for quite some time now.

SONIC Is Great In More Ways Than One

As stated earlier, there are many great movements and campaigns dedicated to improving schools and teachers. Like SONIC, which a ton of people know for their incredible food, So, this year marks the 10th-anniversary SONIC’s Limeades for Learning program and Fall Voting campaign!

The SONIC Drive-In’s annual Limeades for Learning campaign has been around for years. This is a philanthropic initiative that donates $3 million per year in support of public school teachers all over the country! One of the ways in which SONIC donates to public school teacher projects is during its Fall Voting campaign.

Not only does SONIC provide us with great food, but they also provide more than enough support. Throughout the month of October is where are the magic happens. They donate $1 million to teacher projects, while the fans decide how they allocate the money. That’s right; anyone can show their  support for the improvement of the public school scene. It’s as simple as voting for projects that matter to them the most. Projects with the most votes at the end of each week receive funding. Although, that doesn’t count out the other project. They will get the chance to be fulfilled the following weeks.

During this four-week period, anyone can make a difference and positively impact public schools in their communities, without spending a dime! But wait, that’s just the beginning with more to come along the way.

Support A Classroom, Build A Future

Public school teachers are spending hundreds of their own dollars to buy supplies they need for their classrooms every year. Alongside SONIC, another program lends a helping hand as well, DonorsChoose.org. This is an organization dedicated to making it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Recently I’ve donated to Chromebooks for 21st Century Literacy, set up by Realm Charter High School of Berkeley, CA.

It’s a charter school that isn’t publicly funded, so most of the funding falls on the community and teachers. Their goal is to raise enough money to get students Chromebooks for writing, research, typing accommodations, and translation. Being halfway to their goal, this would be a great one to start with. Another recent donation has been made to Rebuilding From the Ground Up, set up by Malpass Corner Elementary School of Burgaw, NC.

With the damage caused by Hurricane Florence, this teacher is looking to me give her students 6 rugs that will provide them with a soft cushion space to learn and play. Their goal may have been reached, but pouring on the donations can help with even more additions.

To date, SONIC has donated more than $10.4 million to public school teachers, funding more than 20,000 classroom projects and supporting more than 618,930 students. Being a part of this is important, and it can make a huge difference all over. So be sure to check out all of the information I have for you above.
