Glitter brings a sparkle to everything, literally! I’m a big fan of glitter. If I could, I’d have it everywhere. And now there is a new sunscreen with glitter in it! How fun is that? The sunscreen is from Sunshine & Glitter, a new company that provides various products with glitter in them, including lotion, sunscreen, and lipgloss.
I had the opportunity to try the company’s Awesome Sauce Glitter Lotion and their SeaStar Sparkle SPF 50+ in Party Cake with Rainbow Glitter.
Sunshine And Glitter’s Awesome Sauce Glitter Lotion
The Awesome Sauce Glitter Lotion, according to the product’s website, contains “natural antioxidants and essential nutrients,” and has the following features:
- non-metallic and non-irritating;
- free of BPA, PABA, parabens, and phthalates;
- not tested on animals;
- made in the USA; and,
- made with natural preservatives.
This Awesome Sauce Glitter Lotion goes on smoothly and has a pleasant and subtle fruity scent. The glitter is multiple colors. Awesome Sauce Lotion is available on their website for $12.95.
SeaStar Sparkle SPF 50+
The SeaStar Sparkle SPF 50+ in Party Cake with Rainbow Glitter sunscreen provides you with protection from the sun while also providing you with a sparkle to your skin.
According to the Sunshine & Glitter website, the sunscreen has the following features:
- non-metallic and non-irritating;
- free of BPA, PABA, oxybenzone, and parabens;
- not tested on animals;
- made in the USA;
- provides UVA/UVB protection and 80 minutes of water resistance; and
- contains green tea extract and natural preservatives.
I really like this sunscreen. It goes on very easily and doesn’t leave any white residue. All that you see after application of the sunscreen is a light mist of rainbow sparkle. The scent is also light and pleasant. And, I love that it has the SPF of 50+. This sunscreen is available on their website for $18.95.
How Does It Look On The Skin?
The picture above is taken of my arm with the lotion and it does not do the product justice. It was tricky to take pictures of the glitter and to be able to capture its true sparkle. I took multiple pictures of my skin with the lotion and sunscreen and the pictures don’t capture what it looks like in real life (I even tried with different lighting and flash vs. no flash). It’s much prettier in real life, but I thought I should include at least one picture. The amount of glitter for both the sunscreen and the lotion is almost the same, but perhaps there is a little more glitter in the lotion.
Another product of theirs that I would really like to try is their Glamour Camper SPF 50+ All Natural Sunscreen with All Natural Bug Repellent & Glitter. It helps keep the sunburn and the bugs away. What a perfect product for this summer, especially if you’re into glamping!
