“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NIV)

Logline
Kelsey is running from failure, heartbreak, and humiliation. In an attempt to understand God’s purpose for her life, she goes to Taiwan to teach English. Will her leap of faith pay off?
Thoughts On Sun Moon

Kelsey is shocked and stuck after being left at the altar, left being unsure of everything she thought was God’s plan for her life.
Not only is she ashamed and embarrassed about what happened, but she also abandons her faith and church too. She doesn’t have a clear idea of how she could possibly face her friends and neighbors.
Throughout the film, you’ll see how emotional these times for Kelsey are, which I thought were covered beautifully.
With a powerful pride on her side, Kelsey is not one to admit defeat so easily.
After missionaries from Taiwan visits her church, she is enlightened with a chance to start fresh, but that fresh start proves difficult, leading her to meet Horace.
Being able to watch Kelsey open her heart up again after what happened to her in the past was simply uplifting. Getting the chance to see how two different lives ane cultural backgrounds could impact one another was beautiful in more ways than one.
It’s a genuine reminder that God will always have a plan for you, you just have to trust in that plan.
Now, you can watch Sun Moon exclusively on Pure Flix, along with other films and shows of the same criteria!
