In 2010, Rafael Atijas created the concept behind the business in a thesis statement for his master’s thesis at New York University. The idea behind Loog Guitars is “not to make the most profit, but to offer a product that is unique and well-designed”. Loog Guitars is careful about the products that they use to go into the manufacturing of the guitars. The wood that is used to make the guitar is acquired from forests that are responsibly managed. With that being said, their products also meet or exceed any regulations in production stated by the government.
On their website, you can find many educational sources and helpful links. For instance, you can find educational videos on their YouTube channel and on their free app! Loog Guitars are a great way to learn the guitar for people of all ages. They have won the “Best Tools For Schools” in 2013 at the NAMM Show where teachers all over the U.S., voted these guitars as the best educational tools for elementary. Students were able to participate together in a song on just day one!

Why We Like
My two boys ages 2 and 4 enjoy this guitar so much! It has been a joy to watch them learn (especially the oldest) and play music. In our family, music is a big part of our day, from the time we wake up till we go to sleep, we almost always have something playing in the background. The boys love to play with their other musical instruments and by starting them out with the Loog Guitar, I am willing to bet that they will always have a guitar close by. Highly recommended as a great educational Christmas Present!
