Going to the Doctor’s office always takes so much time out of my day. I usually have to take time off work, sit thru traffic, find or pay for parking, and then sit in the waiting room for a long time with other sick people. Does any of that sound fun or something you want to do….NO, I don’t!
What if I told you there is an APP (Heal) that will connect you with a DR who will come to your house! Kind of mind blowing, huh! With technology these days I’m not surprised that this is available and it’s quite GENIUS if you ask me.
What is HEAL…reminds me of Uber/Lyft but for Doctors. So how does this work, well first download the HEAL APP. Heal is available in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Long Beach, Orange County, and Silicon Valley.
The doctors are high-quality licensed physicians and pediatricians, who can come to your door in two hours or less, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (8am-8pm). The doctors can do anything your primary care physician can do, from wellness checks to an ear infection treatment on the weekend. There is no need to go to urgent care or more importantly the ER they will come right to you. This is so convenient and comfortable, being able to be seen by a doctor in YOUR HOUSE! Oh my goodnes….so easy for parents with sick babies!
Now you don’t have to be sick to use this app; you can get a well check up for yourself or your child or just want to meet a new doctor. When the doctor arrives, you will need to fill out consent and new patient form. The visit will cost you $99- which isn’t that bad price, very affordable if you don’t have insurance. Some insurance companies (Aetna, United Healthcare, Agna, Blue Sheild, and Anthem BlueCross) do cover this type of visit, and you might just have to pay your co-pay so make sure you check with your insurance company.
I’m so jealous right now because when my kids were young, I hated going to the doctors for many reasons, but mainly it was such a time sucker. Trying to keep kids occupied in the waiting room was no fun, but now we have the option of a DOCTOR ON DEMAND! If you don’t have a smartphone (can’t download the app), no worries you can book an appointment online too.

This app is going to change a lot of lives. Not everyone can go to hospitals and wait for their turn to see the doctor. I think it's lovely that we have this.

Wow the Heal App sounds amazing for those who can access the service. Its similar to our Travel club Teledoc service.

I am sure it is going to be so hectic to visit a doctor in person on a busy day when you have different plans ahead. The Heal app sounds like an amazing service that could come so handy anytime, particularly with 2 kids at home this is going to be so much useful for me!
